Kristen Flemmer, MD, is a board-certified family physician providing care to families at all life stages. She had the privilege to care for the same patients for twenty-one years and found it rewarding to take care of them over a good span of their life. She finds joy in meeting her patients' needs and engaging with them for their healthcare. Dr. Flemmer has fourteen years of experience with delivering babies and caring for women and their children. In additional, she has four years of urgent care work which enhanced her skills in orthopedics, lacerations, rashes and acute infections.

Outside of work, she enjoys watching her son's football games with her husband, hiking (especially off path), gardening and getting together with family.

It is my hope that patients desire good health and engage in their health care. I find it always best to engage the patient in their health care and encourage lifestyle modifications. When this is not possible then a discussion regarding managing these conditions with medications is the next step. I enjoy getting to know each individual.

    I have thought a lot about this. After the last visit, same Dr, Flemmer, I really wanted to switch Dr's. At that point I decided to give her one more try. So here's my next visit. I am done with her. I don't like her, I don't like her bedside manor. I think she's rude, she doesn't have the caring touch that other Dr's I've seen have had. Even in the urgent care or any where else. I've never met a Dr like her. I'm sorry, I can't think of what to say to you guys to explain what the issue is so you know how I feel or understand

    Care provider is unable to engage in conversational talk. In the chart she listed she surveyed me about depression which she did not. Very seldom did she make eye contact

    She didn't even know me and I've been in before. She got me confused with someone else. She said she never took me off a certain medication, but whoever did apparently didn't chart it.

    I didn't feel very supported in my healthcare decision-making. I felt pressured. I know that she has a job to do and test to recommend, but I feel like I am an intelligent person that can choose my healthcare plan.

    Always leaves me with feeling she is in such a hurry. I had to bring up a couple things troubling me as she was ending visit. She was much more personal this visit verses my first visit with her last year.

    I found Dr. Flemmer to be completely unprofessional and rude. She had no interest in letting me explain my concerns, and when I did, she made it clear that she was frustrated with me. I would have no faith in her caring for me Properly based on my experience yesterday. I would highly recommend others to not see her.

    Provider seemed in a rush and gave me very generic treatment. She treated me like a stereotype for someone my age, not listening to how active and able I am for my age. She prescribed a new medication without explaining what it was supposed to do or if it had side-effects. My review recommended things I am already doing. She did not commend me for my good health practices, such as regular exercise or a well-rounded diet.

    I was a very happy patient before I was notified of a change in doctor and patient care last year. I had looked forward to this appointment. However I left so disappointed! Doctor never asked me how I felt that day instead I was given a questionnaire on how I felt in the past 2 weeks. Plus, I was told I was healthy but I am not. I am obese person. How can I be healthy? I was not asked if I had other health issues or concerns. I was told I can do a physical exam and blood work.Why? I was just told a minute ago I was healthy. Do I have to do this so the doctor has something to talk to me about? I was not explained what the bloodwork would entail either. I don't want to get billed for something that my insurance may not cover. I wish I can go back to who I was assigned before or at least give me an option who I could see going forward. If I knew it would be a consultation visit I should have been told I could have a online appointment instead.

    I've been having a difficult time and it takes me awhile to build a rapport. I was expecting to leave my appointment with the same frustration however I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome of my appointment.     My experience with everyone else in the clinic was wonderful however the MD I worked with spent very little time in the room with me (less than 5 minutes). She had not reviewed any information on my chart before the appt to establish a new PCP. Additionally, she did not talk about any of my history with me. I was very disappointed with this appt as I had waited several months to establish care with a new doctor after mine had left the clinic. I was looking for a new PCP before I had even left the parking lot.
