Practice Philosophy:

It is my hope that patients desire good health and engage in their health care. I find it always best to engage the patient in their health care and encourage lifestyle modifications. When this is not possible then a discussion regarding managing these conditions with medications is the next step. I enjoy getting to know each individual.

Doctor advised I needed a biopsy and if I was not able to get an appointment with the specialist quickly to ring their office back and their office would do the biopsy.

Doctor was in too much of a hurry. I asked to be referred to a specific place, but was referred somewhere else. She spent most of the appointment going over the charts notes and very little time on the actual reason I was there.

Too worried about just getting you in and out. Expressed to me that I can't come in and just "add things" on the visit because it "costs extra money," though really it seemed to me it was about adding extra time to her work, which she didn't seem to have which was frustrating and told me I had to make another appointment which I don't agree with and not a great experience.

Dr. Flemmer explained everything properly and checked if I had questions. She was thorough but also time efficient. She treated me with care. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a provider.

The doctor did very well with the amount of time she had to spend with me. I could tell she would have liked to spend more time but she had another appointment. It to bad that some administrative person is calling the shots and not the doctor. Our health care has been screwed up by bean counters which leaves a broken sad health care. Dr Flemmer is fantastic but she is held back by the system in my opinion.

Dr Flemmer listened well, addressed my needs and came up with a solution. She also has positively impacted my health by making me aware of how my eating habits impact my A1C. Because of her intervention, I was able to lower my A1C from 5.7 to 5.2 and lose 10# in three months, by adjusting my diet.

We had a disagreement over semantics which lead to a quick end of the appt. Very disappointed in her behavior.

Physician rarely made eye contact; never turned away from computer to look at me; only wanted me to give one word or very brief responses needed for her to complete computerized responses.
  • Jun, 22 2025
Felt rushed through appointment, she seemed like she didn't have time to deal with my complaints or concerns.

I came in with a concern of lower leg pains, redness, itchiness, and new severe veining mark that have appeared in the lower legs more severely since our last visit in Dec, it really wasn't loon at In detail or diagnosed. She told me she can't multi-task and has to go through her questions of wellness. She said she would prescribe a water pill. I told her that's fine but it's more of the burning redness that appears in the evening that I am concerned about. Is there vein issues not being able to pump the blood up? She said no Its just marks from the swelling. She did take a picture, told me the marking that are there wouldn't go away and to take the new waterpill . . . But not too often for it will damage my kidneys (something of which my father died of -kidney failure). Then she sends her nurse out to tell me to make sure I take potassium with the water pill she is going to prescribe. I told the nurse that so have to take 4 big horse pills of potassium to just just stay close to normal levels. He went back in and then came back out and said she said I should be fine. My labs came back and her note on my 2.8 low potassium was ear me foods with potassium.I always feel cut off when I share what my concern is with her.
