Rachael Kauffung, DNP, ARNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in primary care. She is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care that respects each individual’s priorities while addressing health risks and chronic conditions.

Before entering healthcare, Rachael spent over a decade as a project manager in corporate marketing and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her career change was driven by a desire to help others better understand their health and expand access to care for underserved communities; a decision she considers the best she’s ever made.

Outside of work, Rachael enjoys cooking, discovering new restaurants, and singing karaoke. She’s an avid hiker, a devoted animal lover with three pets, and a tabletop gaming enthusiast who successfully kickstarted her own game. A fan of science fiction and fantasy across books, TV, and film, she also loves exploring quirky towns throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The services Rachael provides include:

  • Primary care
  • Mental health support
  • Chronic illness management
  • Substance use disorder care

Practice Philosophy:

My approach to care is grounded in evidence-based practices and shaped by each patient’s unique needs and circumstances. I strive to meet people where they are, whether that means helping them optimize their wellness, reduce harm, or explore traditional and alternative healing methods. I find joy in working with patients challenged by mental health issues, substance use disorders, and complex chronic illnesses.
