Rebecca L. Benko, MD

Rebecca Benko, MD is a board-certified family medicine physician and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Washington, Tacoma Family Medicine Residency Program. She has provided full spectrum family medicine care including a very active obstetrics practice for more than 20 years. She is interested in helping patients and their families lead a healthy lifestyle and understands the importance of that in pregnancy and beyond. Dr. Benko is currently participating in a grant/study with the Washington Department of Health and MultiCare on "Healthy Weight Gain in Pregnancy, Empowering Women to Wellness."

Dr. Benko provides a full range of obstetrical services including prenatal care and delivery, newborn care, well-child care and preventive care for the entire family. She is connected to the full resources and specialists of MultiCare, from maternal-fetal medicine and the region's only Level IV NICU caring for the tiniest babies, to pediatric sub-specialists.

In her spare time, Dr. Benko enjoys spending time outdoors, swimming, biking, walking, cooking and hanging out with her two children, husband and very active dog.
