Medication Assistance
Having access to medicines that prevent and treat illness and disease is important to living a healthy life.
We don’t want cost to keep you from getting the medications you need. MultiCare’s medication assistance program connects patients who need help paying for their medicines with financial resources. These resources include copay cards, financial assistance, grants and manufacturer-supplied free medications.
Copay cards
Copay cards help insured patients with out-of-pocket copay and coinsurance costs. You must have commercial insurance (not Medicare or Medicaid) to use this option.
Financial assistance
MultiCare offers financial assistance to help qualifying patients pay for their care. Applications for financial assistance are available at all MultiCare locations, and approved financial assistance applications are good for 90 days.
Financial assistance is not available for medicines you take on your own at home, such as prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins or supplements.
Grants
To help cover provider visits or medication costs, grants may be available through third-party organizations to insured patients who meet certain criteria. Insurance must be used before grants can be billed.
Manufacturer-supplied free medications
Uninsured patients who meet certain criteria may qualify for medication at no cost from the drug manufacturer. Medications you take at home are mailed directly to you; medications given to you at a clinic or hospital are sent to the MultiCare location where you are receiving care.
