Specialty medications are prescribed to treat complex and often chronic health conditions such as multiple sclerosis or cancer. These medications are often high-cost and may require a copay. The medications often require special handling, storage, disposal, and specific shipping/delivery requirements. Additionally, they require complex and specific monitoring, along with patient education needs. Due to these factors, specialty medications are often not stocked at traditional retail pharmacies.

How does the Specialty Pharmacy work?

Once we receive a prescription from your provider, we collaborate with your insurance company to authorize treatment. We actively seek out programs that may reduce or eliminate your copay. To accommodate your schedule, we work closely with you to arrange the delivery of your medication.

The Specialty Pharmacy provides phone consultations with your pharmacist to discuss your medication. We also monitor your refills to ensure you never miss a dose.
