TACOMA, Wash. — MultiCare Health System has awarded $800,000 in grants to 53 nonprofit organizations across Washington state through its Community Partnership Fund grant program, reinforcing its commitment to improving the health and well-being of local communities.
The selected organizations serve communities in the Puget Sound, Inland Northwest and Yakima Valley regions, focusing on the most pressing health challenges as identified in MultiCare’s Community Health Needs Assessment. Priority areas of focus include access to care, behavioral health, food insecurity and other social determinants that significantly influence overall health outcomes.
“MultiCare takes pride in creating a community of health. We know that healthier communities are stronger communities,” said Marce Edwards Olson, vice president and chief marketing and communications officer for MultiCare. “We believe every community deserves a partner in health and healing. Through the Community Partnership Fund, we’re building strong, collaborative relationships that help create healthier, more vibrant communities.”
Since its launch in 2014, the Community Partnership Fund has distributed more than $6.8 million to hundreds of nonprofits working to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Washington residents.
