At Navos, our first priority is to provide a caring, safe environment where we treat each patient with respect. We invite you to learn more about our resources and amenities, as well as what to expect.

Resources, policies and amenities

Visits must be scheduled. Please coordinate with the care team prior to visiting.

Patients at Navos Hospital shall be permitted to receive visitors during hospital visiting hours unless it is determined by their attending psychiatric provider that such visits could pose health or safety risks or be detrimental to their progress in treatment.

  • Visiting hours are daily between 2-3pm and 4-5pm
  • Visits are limited to 30 minutes
  • Only 2 visitors at a time per patient are permitted
  • Visits must be scheduled to assure there is available space. Visits can be requested by the patient or family member.
  • Additional policies and guidance will be made available to patients and families

Please coordinate with the care team prior to dropping off items or food for patients.

Although Navos has strict safety guidelines and limited storage space, some personal items are permitted. Thank you for following these guidelines to help protect your safety and that of others

  • Limited personal clothing – recommend no more than 2 sets of tops/bottoms due to space. If more is needed please consult the assigned social worker.
    • Recommended attire is casual clothing. Clothing is to be appropriate at all times. Clothing with draw strings or ties is not permitted.
    • Footwear must be worn. Shoelaces are not permitted. Staff will provide feedback as to what is not appropriate.
  • Approved personal care items (hygiene products)
  • Reading material, journal, coloring books (please note: no hardback books or spiral notebooks)
  • Prescription eye glasses or reading glasses if needed

Patients may not bring the following:

  • Navos is a smoke-free facility. No cigarettes, smoking or vaping products or devices are allowed. Smoking cessation aids (patches) are available for those who need them
  • Items not allowed in the hospital include sharp objects, lighters and matches, nail files and clippers, scissors, glass items (except eyeglasses), rope, chain, corded items, underwire bras, scarves, belts, hoodies, mouthwash, hairspray, stuffed animals, blankets or pillows from home, jewelry including body piercings, alcohol and/ or illicit drugs, cell phones or electronics, pornography of any type, plastic bags.
